Somehow, I stumbled upon a radio appearance that featured entirely old songs. today, there are radio channels dedicated alone to retro music. back then, the singers sang from their hearts. Lyricists wrote deep, meaningful lines. music directors collaborated with many musicians to create fantastic compositions. It ‘s not that today ‘s artists do n’t make complicate songs, it was precisely more common back then. This was a period when Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, and Lata started their careers. I wo n’t point you to any particular one, as no one web site has every sung. Voice was possibly of Hemant Kumar or a very exchangeable voice. I do not know if it is a quirk of my memory but the tune of the first two course that plays in my head even after 60 years reminds me of the all time top spanish birdcall “ La Paloma ”. I ‘d have given up searching but for the doubt – so many hindi songs have been based on western tunes, how come such a worldwide popular music with reputedly more than 1000 versions could be left alone ? Particularly as no copyright violation would arise as it was composed by Yradier in 1860.
